What We Do:

The Member Outreach Committee focuses on connection, communication, and community. We help keep members informed, supported, and engaged across all courthouses and branches.

Our work includes:

  • Organizing Meet & Greets and member connection events
  • Managing the LACCRA Mentorship Program
  • Overseeing the Member Newsletter
  • Coordinating and supporting Branch Representatives
  • Producing the LACCRA Yearly Calendar

Meet & Greets

Leads: Lisa Hernandez & Jaclyn Verkler

We organize in-person Meet & Greet events throughout the county to bring members together, strengthen relationships, and create space for open conversation.

Branch Representatives

Leads: Alisia Lewis & Lyrra Lamar

Support Team: Jaclyn Verkler & Michelle Montero

Branch Representatives serve as the communication bridge between members and the Board. We recruit, organize, and support branch reps so every courthouse has a voice.

Mentorship Program

Program Support: Michelle Montero (Administration), Carol Herrera (CCRA Connection), & Lanny Soave (Voice Writer Representative)

The LACCRA Mentorship Program pairs new reporters with experienced reporters to provide guidance, support, and real-world insight. The program is designed to strengthen retention, build confidence, and help new hires successfully transition into court reporting within LASC.

We provide structured onboarding, ongoing support, and clear communication for both mentors and mentees.
